Message from President

Since founded in 1946 in a merchant city of Osaka, West of Japan, we have managed to successfully develop our business as a trading company specialized in industrial materials, mainly nonferrous metals.

Taking advantage of the increasing demand for globalization of Japanese corporates in their manufacturing and marketing activities which was coupled with the nation's rapid economic growth after the world war, we opened first overseas offices in Singapore in 1970 to be followed by new offices in other countries and regions accordingly such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and HCM City in Vietnam.

We have committed ourselves through our group network mainly in Asian regions in order to support outbound activities by Japanese customers as well as to contribute to the development of the local society where we are involved with.

In recent years, the business circumstances around us have never ceased to change owing to new technologies emerged from time to time and subject to the world economy or the international relations which may vary in a drastic way.
We have paid at most respect to our company rule of “三方一両得 (pronounced as Sampo-Ichi-Ryo-Doku)” which means we shall pay good consideration for the benefit of all parties concerned - the seller, the buyer and the society – and the rule has been extended to three basic disciplines we shall observe in daily business activities such as “Sincere proposals”, “Steady actions” and “Secure outcomes”. In line with our rules and disciplines as above, we aim for an environment friendly and recycling-oriented company by promoting customers wide range of services from supplying commercial products to recycling used resources. To fulfill our commitment, we are determined to further reinforce our global network and activities to deserve “Value Creating Trader”.

President of OHGITANI Corporation
Mr. Michihiro Ohgitani
